Collaboration

WebUI

  • Email capture: Email capture lets users save Outlook emails and attachments as searchable .eml files in Egnyte project folders manually or through automatic mailbox syncs, with metadata applied automatically.
  • Edit an in-progress signature request: Senders can edit in-progress signature requests by updating details, reminders, expiration dates, forwarding, and document locations without cancelling and recreating requests.
  • Copy folder path option: The new copy folder path option lets users quickly copy folder locations from the folder view or context menu for use in documentation, scripts, and AI chats.
  • Time zone—independent custom metadata dates: Fixed Date keeps custom metadata dates the same for all users regardless of time zone, ensuring accurate dates for contracts, expirations, and birthdays.
  • Public link verification (admin feature): Manage email verification for public links across your domain and control whether link owners can change the setting. Verified emails show who accessed shared files in audit reports.
  • Copy and move to external drives in the File Audit Report: Files copied or moved between Egnyte and other drives using the Windows Desktop App now appear in audit reports, helping admins track file activity.
  • Multi-document tagging: Multi-Document Tagging now lets users apply metadata changes and immediately start another update in the same dialog, simplifying consecutive edits across multiple files.
  • Improvements in Bulk Extraction (limited availability): Bulk Extraction now supports folder search, pattern-based selection, job duplication, delegated access controls, and summary statistics to simplify setup and monitoring.
  • Signer Groups and CC Groups in Egnyte Sign: Egnyte Sign now supports groups as signers and CC recipients, simplifying signing workflows by letting teams manage signing requests without adding each person individually.
  • Recommendations on Egnyte: Egnyte features are now recommended based on users’ roles and usage patterns, helping them discover useful tools, learn more about them, or dismiss unwanted suggestions.
  • Links Dashboard: The redesigned Links Dashboard improves visibility and control with configurable columns, filters, search, sorting, expanded exports, inline expiry and notification updates, and quicker file access.
  • Password controls: Password security is strengthened with character variety requirements, a one-day minimum password lifetime, support for 16-character minimums, and password history tracking for up to 24 passwords.

Mobile App

  • iOS App:
    • Signatures Dashboard: Signatures can now be tracked by status and completed directly in the Egnyte iOS app through the new Signatures tab, helping users manage signing requests on the go. This feature is also available in the Android app.
    • AI image labeling: Egnyte mobile now supports on-device AI image labeling, which generates image descriptions that populate metadata namespaces and improves search indexing, especially for AEC workflows. This feature is available in the Android app as well.
    • iOS 26 visual updates: The app supports iOS 26’s Liquid Glass design, with a floating tab bar, improved contrast, spacing, and accessibility for easier navigation.
  • Android App:

Intelligence

  • Bulk Extraction (general availability): Bulk Extraction automatically extracts and applies tags to existing and newly uploaded files across selected folders, making content searchable while reducing manual effort.
  • Migration of Knowledge Bases to Agents: Egnyte Knowledge Bases are being retired and automatically migrated to Agents, preserving existing file sources, behavior, and settings within the AI Assistant experience.
  • Schedule tasks in AI Assistant: Scheduled tasks let AI Assistant run tasks daily, weekly, or monthly, with notifications, conversation history, and options to edit, pause, or resume tasks.
  • Personalize AI with Corporate Glossary: Admins can personalize AI Assistant and Agents with a corporate glossary by adding or importing company-specific terms and definitions for more relevant responses.
  • Egnyte Agents in external MCP Server: AI tools connected through Egnyte MCP can now access Egnyte Agents, query them using configured instructions and sources, and provide additional files or folders per request.
  • Multiple files input for agent step in Workflow Templates: Workflow Agent steps now support multiple file inputs, allowing users to combine source files and outputs from previous steps to build multi-document workflows.
  • Metadata extraction in Workflow Agent Steps: Extract structured data with Workflow Agent steps and save it to predefined file metadata fields, reducing manual data entry and supporting downstream automation.
  • Model list upgrade: Egnyte now supports Sonnet 5.5 (default), GPT 6.1, and Gemini 3.8 Flash, giving users greater flexibility to select the model best suited to their tasks.

Governance

  • AI Control Center: The new AI Control Center helps administrators identify risky Egnyte agents, tighten access to sensitive content, and strengthen security and governance.
  • AI Safeguards Policy Audit Report: Admins can now audit AI Safeguards policy changes through a new Policy Settings report, tracking who changed policies, when, and what changed to strengthen compliance and simplify investigations.
  • Enhanced Legal Hold user interface: The refreshed legal hold interface features a cleaner list view and updated creation dialog, simplifying navigation and legal hold management.
  • Custom trigger date for Content Lifecycle Policies: Content Lifecycle policies support customized trigger dates using date-based metadata defined in Collaborate, alongside creation and last access dates.
  • Egnyte MCP Server—tool access controls: Admins can now control which Egnyte tools, users, or groups can access through connected AI apps like Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot, based on their roles and requirements.
  • Configuration Agent—additional scoping support: The Configuration Agent now supports Alert, Issue, and Permission Review settings, helping admins configure alerts and create rules to address external sharing issues using natural language prompts.

Integration

  • Egnyte in Copilot Cowork (plugin): Egnyte content is now accessible in Copilot Cowork through the Egnyte Cowork plugin, which uses MCP to respect permissions, classification, and retention policies during multi-step tasks.
  • Egnyte as a content source in Copilot: Egnyte is now available as a federated content source in Copilot Chat and Researcher, enabling real-time, permission-aware access through MCP without copying or indexing content in Microsoft 365.
  • Deltek Vantagepoint integration: Egnyte’s native Deltek Vantagepoint integration automatically creates, and updates projects based on configurable triggers, naming conventions, save locations, and standardized folder templates with permissions.
  • Enhanced MCP tools for Procore Custom MCP Connector: The Procore MCP connector now supports additional read and write tools, enabling project teams to query real-time project data and update fields using their own credentials.
  • Google Previewer for Google Workspace files (general availability): Egnyte supports native, read-only browser previews for Google Workspace files, preserving original formatting and layouts without converting them to PDF.
  • Microsoft SharePoint Embedded (SPE) co-editing integration: Administrators can now select the Microsoft 365 region for SharePoint Embedded containers, which helps organizations meet data residency requirements and regional compliance obligations for co-edited documents.
