We all know the old saying “anything worth doing, is worth doing right.” This phrase has come to mind a lot lately as we continue to see more and more MSPs adopt the Egnyte solution as their chosen file-sharing offering. The sheer complexity and fragmentation of this market proves to be a daunting task for service providers trying to wade through and determine the best way to meet all of the diverse needs of their customers. We’re finding these same service providers choosing Egnyte because we provide them and their customers with benefits in a way that no other provider can.

As Egnyte’s Channel Chief overseeing our service provider program, my team’s focus has been on helping our service provider community leverage our unique positioning and strong value propositions within their respective businesses. We’ve set up a program that is mutually beneficial and provides positive ROI for our hundreds of MSPs that have joined our program. For anyone looking to join, here are the top three reasons Egnyte is different:

#1 – Flexible Deployments: Egnyte is the only provider to provide flexible deployment models that enables a MSP to offer its customers access to data through three approaches – purely on-premises, cloud-only or a hybrid of the two. This allows MSPs to get the most out of existing on-premise infrastructure and partnerships, and also adds a cloud-enablement layer with continued monthly recurring revenue (MRR).

meeting with customersHere’s a great example: We’ve partnered recently with a very successful New York-based MSP focused primarily on the financial services industry. In addition to the services they provide, which are focused on customers’ on-premise assets, they’ve built a world-class data center offering to host infrastructure and data for their customers. With Egnyte’s single platform, they can address customers’ on-premise deployments, but they’re able to offer their own cloud-based solution right out of their own data center.

#2 – High-Revenue Bundles: Egnyte has an expansive partner ecosystem, which provides a great opportunity for MSPs to package high-revenue offerings together, increasing the value to their customers – and frankly, make them more money. These bundles can include products like NAS storage, mobile devices, specialty security products, desktop-as-a-service, backup/data recovery, and single sign-on services, just to name a few.

#3 – Meeting Customer Needs: With the Egnyte platform, MSPs are now able to address the diverse requirements of their customers, including mobile file access, cross-office sync, large file transfer, business continuity, and secure VPN-less file access. Anytime, anywhere access to business data is pertinent for organizations, and Egnyte enables 100% access to all files to address these common pain points.

The myriad file sharing options available on the market today is forcing MSPs to identify what’s most important for their businesses, while also finding a solution that can address their customers’ requirements. They’ve taken a long, hard look at this space and have (rightfully) been hesitant to believe companies who claim their flavor is best for them. It’s not a simple decision, but it’s an effort worth doing right…
