Collaboration
- Webhooks dashboard in Collaborate: Egnyte now offers a webhooks configuration UI, making it easy to set up and manage webhooks without APIs. Admins can configure event-driven integrations directly from the centralized dashboard.
- Egnyte Sign—alignment and distribution of signature fields: Signature requests support alignment and distribution options for signature fields, making it faster to create polished, organized documents that are easier for recipients to complete.
- MS Office Co-editing—access and use Microsoft Copilot: Microsoft Copilot is now accessible while co-editing Office files stored in Egnyte. Summarize content, ask questions, and generate text without leaving your editing session.
- Desktop App
- Adaptive Block Caching general availability: Adaptive Block Caching (ABC) is now generally available, delivering faster file access and smoother performance by intelligently streaming and syncing only what's needed.
- Cache utilization status in Desktop App UI: The Desktop App's status bar now shows total ABC cache usage across all profiles, with a per-domain breakdown on hover, giving instant visibility into cache consumption.
- Clear Cache option: A new Clear Cache action in the Desktop App lets users safely free up local storage by removing unused ABC cache files, while open files are unaffected.
- Adaptive cache size allocation: The eviction threshold setting is now called cache size, with a clearer model. The cache scales above the configured size during active use and automatically shrinks back, while always maintaining a minimum reserved space.
- Cache warming notification improvements: Cache warming success notifications now include the number and size of cached files for better visibility.
- Metadata sidecar: Egnyte Actions on ABC drive now surface rich media metadata, codec, resolution, frame rate, and more without downloading the file, helping editors make faster decisions before importing into tools like Adobe Premiere Pro.
- WebUI
- Quick access to product knowledge: Help Assistant brings Egnyte's Helpdesk knowledge directly into the product. Ask questions in natural language and get instant answers with links to relevant documentation.
- Egnyte iOS App:
- AI Agent access: AI Agents are now available on iOS. Select any agent to summarize documents, ask questions, and retrieve insights on the go. (Also available on the Android app.)
- Enhanced search filters: The Egnyte iOS app's search gets smarter with auto-suggested people filtering, customized date range pickers, a new geolocation filter to find files by GPS metadata, and a content-type filter, making it easier to find exactly what you need.
- Checkbox and radio button support for Egnyte Sign: The mobile signing experience now supports checkboxes and radio buttons, enabling users to complete and execute complex documents directly on their iOS devices. (Also available on the Android app.)
- Co-editing entry point from Shared Link preview: Co-editing a shared Microsoft Office file is now one tap away. Launch it directly from the preview screen without navigating to the file's location.
- Separate folder per submitter when requesting files: Upload links via “Request Files from Others” now support auto-creating a separate folder per contributor on iOS, matching the existing web experience.
- Multiple file upload from the iOS Files App: Users can now upload multiple files at once from the native iOS Files app to Egnyte via the Share menu without additional steps.
- Updated file and folder details screens: File and folder details views now get a refreshed layout, making it easier to review and navigate information at a glance.
- Egnyte Android App:
- File and folder context selection in AI Chat: AI Assistant lets you pin specific files and folders as context sources before or during a conversation, so answers stay scoped, accurate, and easy to refine on the fly. (Also available on the iOS App.)
- AI Assistant replaces Ask: The Ask tab upgrades to the full AI Assistant experience with web search, cross-file context, and smart startup prompts tailored to your documents, all without leaving the preview screen. (Also enabled on the iOS App.)
- Offline storage widget: A new offline storage widget on the Homepage shows real-time storage usage, sync status, and lets you adjust limits, so mission-critical files are always ready before you go offline. (Also available on the iOS App.)
Intelligence
- AI Assistant
- Thinking in Agents: Thinking is now available in Agents, giving you a clearer, more transparent view of how your agent processes requests, so interactions are easier to follow.
- Intelligent AI Suggestions in the search bar: The search bar now detects when a query suits AI Assistant better, offering a one-click handoff, helping you get the right results without choosing the right tool on your own.
- Multi-file advanced spreadsheet analysis and support for GSheets: AI Assistant can now analyze multiple spreadsheets at once, just tag files with @filename and get insights across all of them in a single interaction. Google Sheets is now supported, too.
- OAuth client ID authentication type supported for AI Connectors: AI Connectors now support OAuth Client ID authentication, allowing admins to set up shared, org-level connections to MCP servers like Slack and Salesforce that are instantly available to all users.
Governance
- Enhanced metadata criteria for AI Safeguards policies: AI Safeguards now support multiple metadata conditions with any/all matching logic, giving admins more precise control over how policies are applied across content.
Industry
- Building Code Analyst: The new Building Code Analyst brings AI-powered code research to AEC teams, instantly surfacing relevant requirements across jurisdictions so architects, engineers, and contractors can focus on higher-value work.
- 2-Way sync supported between Egnyte and Autodesk: The Autodesk Forma integration supports 2-way sync, keeping files, folders, and project metadata consistent across both platforms for seamless team collaboration.
- eTMF Completeness Report: The eTMF Completeness Report now generates asynchronously with email notifications, and all reports are accessible from a centralized folder in Collaborate.
Integration
- Create API key tile in Apps & Integrations Store: Admins can now generate and manage Collaborate API credentials directly from the Apps & Integrations store with built-in guardrails and support for internal and public application types.
Platform
Migration
- Validation reports (general availability): Validation reports for migration jobs now highlight missing files, size mismatches, and checksum differences between the source and destination, helping you quickly spot and fix discrepancies.
- Live progress for Validate command: The Validate command now shows live progress in the UI, tracking files and folders processed in real time, so you can monitor migration status briefly.
