These last few months have made for an exciting ride at Egnyte. Not only have we launched a major expansion to our product portfolio — tackling a $25 billion in annual data loss challenge within the industry — but just weeks later we have been named Leaders in Gartner’s 2016 Magic Quadrant for EFSS!

While many players have had to move out of this highly competitive market, we have steadily increased our footprint, invested in R&D and are on track to be cash flow positive this year. We proved that customer satisfaction and innovation are the key to success.

We’ve achieved many milestones since July 2015, when Gartner named us a Visionary.

  • We announced our Egnyte Key Management offering in March 2016 — an enterprise-grade data encryption solution designed to provide organizations with the broadest offering of choice for both privacy and security. Egnyte is the only company to offer full end-to-end encryption with a solution that allows customers to store encryption keys on-premises or on the Egnyte, Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure clouds.
  • We followed that up with new integrations for Microsoft Office 365 in September 2015, which enable business users to seamlessly access, manage and share all of their files from the Web, desktop or mobile.
  • We introduced the Egnyte Technology Partner Program to provide enhanced value-added services on top of Egnyte’s open, hybrid technology with deeper integrations with Google, Microsoft and Salesforce, among others.
  • Leveraging our content analytics, we delivered a Smart Reporting and Auditing service in October 2015 that provides IT leaders and business users with actionable intelligence, so users can take control of their content sharing systems and have a better visual understanding of user behavior.

We’re proud that our position is a unique one — it’s no secret that Egnyte has taken a different approach with a focus on execution and delivering on the goals we outline for our customers. We’ve always prioritized capital efficiency and sustainable growth. We believed early on in the value of a true hybrid offering that allows organizations to move to the cloud on their own terms, at their own pace and for the right content.

Being named a leader in the EFSS space by Gartner corroborates the Ovum Decision Matrix, as well as the recent 2016 Forrester Wave for Hybrid EFSS.

Forrester highlights Egnyte’s enterprise file services in their report —  “a content intelligence engine, launched in 2015, is an area of ongoing investment, revealing a range of usage patterns with compelling data visualization techniques.”

As always, we owe everything to our exceptional customers. Every customer, from the likes of Fender, Nasdaq, Red Bull, Yamaha to our humblest users, has helped us learn and innovate.

We’re fielding hundreds of inquiries in just the days following our new content governance offering, Egnyte Protect. We’re conducting conversations with CIO’s who want to ensure they orchestrate all the content within their digital workplace and find ways to strategically leverage our content analytics to protect their customers’ intellectual property and their own.

Understanding our customers’ core challenges and anticipating their needs is the cornerstone of our culture and we look forward to continuing to prove why we’re Leaders in a space that is ever-evolving.
