Egnyte Celebrates Fifteen Years

Time flies when you’re building an industry-leading platform for secure content collaboration spread worldwide! July officially marks fifteen years since we filed our articles of incorporation in 2008. The co-founders of Egnyte (Vineet Jain, Rajesh Ram, Amrit Jassal, and Kris Lahiri) were actively involved in the festivities and helped to make this milestone even more memorable for employees across the globe.

“It’s our fifteenth anniversary, and I’m happy to share this significant milestone with you. We are now in the fastest-growing phase with more than 17,000 customers, 1,000+ employees, and $200 million ARR. Egnyte is leaping forward even during challenging market conditions. Our strategy was to start small and focus on building a product that addresses a need for small to midsize customers by maintaining a strong focus on fiscal prudence. I am grateful to have such a great team while we celebrate our 15th anniversary”, said Vineet Jain, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Egnyte.

We celebrated across our global offices by sharing memories, photos, and videos, along with hosting virtual and in-office anniversary parties. These events were also viewing parties for the newly created Founders Chat, which told the stories of Egnyte’s beginning. We had plenty of insightful and fun takeaways from stories that most of us had never heard before.

We heard about Egnyte’s humble beginnings, with the founders working out of a small one-room office, and even learned that Vineet has “Tubthumping” by Chumbawamba stuck in his head because he loves the lyrics- “I get knocked down, but I get up again”.

Our long-term customers joined in on the celebrations and had plenty to say about our partnership with them over the years.
