Meet.js and Egnyte Join to Host Event for JavaScript Developers

In late September, the city of Poznan was occupied by JavaScript Developers for the biggest free JavaScript conference in Poland - Meet.js Summit.

The initiative of Meet.js dates back to 2011. The first event was organized in Poznan and then expanded to eight other cities in Poland. The Meet.js Summit organizers believe it is very important to engage local communities in sharing the Open Web knowledge, focusing mostly on JavaScript and HTML5.

This year’s challenge of organizing the summit was faced by Joanna and ZB from our Poland office and their friends Michal and Kamil. The conference brought together 350 participants from all around Poland, and 16 speakers joined in to share their knowledge with the community. Maciej from Egnyte Poland did a talk about single-threaded event loop. If you weren’t there, you can see the slides here.

To support our teammates, Egnyte Poland sponsored and organized the after party. During the conference, we gave away invites for the party that could later be exchanged for beer and t-shirts at the venue. The party attracted more than 100 front-end developers for late-night discussions, playing pool and bonding with the community.

As Egnyte Poland, we would like to say a big thank you to the Meet.js Summit organizers, ZB and Joanna, for their work after hours to make this event happen! We are more than happy to support local communities for developers.
