Egnyte Poland Opens Its Door to High School Students

A few weeks ago, Poznan Town Hall helped connect companies with high schools to show students different career paths and opportunities during this third-annual event. At the Egnyte Poland office, we were thrilled to open our doors for high school students looking to find their future careers. The students that visited our office got a better understanding of working within the IT industry and with a U.S.-based organization. They also had an opportunity to chat with representatives from our Web UI, Mobile, Java, Python, UX and DevOps teams, where they learned not only the specifics of each area but also different requirements and recruitment processes within each track. In addition to the students visiting Egnyte Poland, representatives from our company also visited a local school to talk about career opportunities and to explain that we can have a passion and do what we love at every age. Our very own Information Security Architect Dawid Balut, who is relatively new in his career, also gave a speech about security engineering and about pursuing one’s dreams. We did our best to demonstrate our passion around what we do best every day. It’s incredibly important for high school students to understand their options for the future. We hope that showing them an example of a driven team and a company that supports career growth will show them what to look for as they embrace their passions.I’m excited to share that one of the students who attended the event, who showed the most interest in our technology and a strong drive for learning, was offered an internship with our DevOps team in Poland. We would like to thank Poznan Town Hall for giving us the opportunity to present Egnyte as a future employer for these students as they transition from school to the workforce. To keep up to date on what's new with our office in Poland, be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
