A Recap of ad:tech San Francisco
Market interest in supporting the Advertising and Media industry is at an all time high, and this was evident at the recent industry event Egnyte sponsored - ad:tech San Francisco, which took place at the Moscone Center May 20 and 21, 2015.
On the show floor, a large variety of vendors represented a varied spread of services to help solve the pain points of agencies and industry professionals. It was great to be on the show floor to talk to attendees about how Egnyte can address their needs. For example, many agencies need to share large design files, pitch presentations, and videos with their clients but can’t do so via email due to file-size limitations. Our open, hybrid architecture enables seamless sharing for client teams, both internally as well as with clients who may not have Egnyte accounts.In addition, these firms are also dealing with clients who compete with other clients on the roster. Instead of turning away business, they can actually leverage Egnyte to keep agency teams working on content in separate domains to ensure that intellectual property isn’t accessed or shared inappropriately between the competing teams.Attendee turnout at the event was quite high, and everyone in the booth was engaged from the moment they walked into the exhibit hall and into our booth. We had some great conversations with these industry folks, an overall nice opportunity to hear first-hand about the new challenges that are developing every day, and it also allowed us to share how we can help solve their specific use cases.The product demo desk was also very busy throughout both days of the show, and the demos themselves were very well-received. Charles Lawson and I also showed off Egnyte’s new mobile suite, including our integration with the Apple Watch, which generated a fair amount of excitement. The continuous stream of attendees that departed the booth left with a great understanding of the functionality Egnyte is able to offer their respective businesses.On a lighter side, I personally loved our raffle prizes, and I think the attendees did too. Our Fender Guitar giveaway created quite a bit of buzz, with show attendees lining up for an opportunity to win one of America’s great guitars.All in all, Egnyte was quite a hit at the show, and we’re looking forward to meeting with other industry professionals about how we can help solve their pain points at upcoming media, entertainment and advertising events, including ad:tech NY.
