Egnyte Extends Integration with Microsoft Teams

Egnyte is committed to building an ecosystem of solutions that help organizations collaborate more effectively and securely. Our ongoing work with Microsoft Teams, which already includes Egnyte capabilities through Collaboration Tab and Messaging Extension, is an important part of this goal.

Now, we’ve extended our integration to allow organizations to further use Egnyte as a cloud storage option, combining the powerful Egnyte content platform with Microsoft’s productivity and collaboration tool. “Egnyte’s cloud storage option builds on its existing Microsoft Teams integration and expands customer choice when it comes to productivity and collaboration,” says Mike Ammerlaan, director, Microsoft 365 Ecosystem at Microsoft Corp.  “We’re pleased to see Egnyte’s ongoing commitment to Teams."

How it works

‍Within Teams, users can select Egnyte as a cloud storage option when working with files and selecting a storage of choice. Once Egnyte is selected, users need to enter Egnyte’s domain to get direct access. There is no need to add an additional application, since Egnyte is already an option. Plus, there are no incremental costs. This integration is available in the desktop, web, and mobile versions of Teams.

The Teams integration is one of many advances Egnyte has made to help organizations transform how they work. In the near future Egnyte will include an integration with Microsoft Flow, allowing companies to automate workflows within Teams and extend workloads further into Microsoft Azure.
