Ever since I became Egnyte’s Chief Customer Officer, it has lent a whole new perspective both personally and professionally. This year, in particular, I spent much time on the road visiting both prospective and existing customers. I’ve been aboard many planes, trains and automobiles so I could converse, collaborate and brainstorm with customers across different industries in different parts of the world. It was worth every minute.

Despite the apparent differences in size, industry or region, all of our customers are seeking one thing – a partner they can rely on to help them solve their business challenges. Bringing this to bear is fundamental to our ethos at Egnyte. We have a product that is second to none, but the differentiating factor is how closely we work with our customers to create customized solutions that bring tremendous value to their business. Success for us is not measured by simply selling the product, we want our customers to use Egnyte every day as an integral part of their business.

Accomplishing this is easier said than done, but it is what makes us different.

Listening has become an essential part of the culture we have created at Egnyte. We like to challenge our customers and be challenged in return. Our best customers are not the ones who pay us and leave us alone. Our best customers are the ones who challenge us to improve and be better. They are the ones who help us thrive, helping us produce a better product and a better service.

Our customers have propelled us to a number of milestones this year. As we come to the end of the year we are on pace to finish with record-setting numbers in terms of growth, while sustaining profitability, which has become extremely rare for tech companies today. In 2017 we also experienced a number of additional successes. We were named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the second year in a row, being recognized for our stellar service and superior customer support. We were named an Editor’s Choice by PC Mag for our industry-leading platform. And the list goes on…

I want to thank our customers for their immense support in 2017. I look forward to more planes, trains, and automobiles during our journey together in 2018.
