There’s something about sharing a meal that brings people together. Here at Egnyte we have a great café space where we often gather for team lunches, happy hours or holiday events. In keeping with tradition, we decided to celebrate Thanksgiving early with a wonderful potluck in our cafeteria last week. The amount of people that contributed to the meal this year left us with plenty of delicious leftovers!

The one thing that stood out was the diversity of all the dishes that Egnyters brought in. Normally you would expect people to bring in traditional dishes like mashed potatoes, stuffing and green beans. We had all that, but some decided to add their own cultural twist, which made it that much better with homemade ratatouille, lumpia and braised tofu.

It was nice to enjoy a big turkey and ham mixed in with side dishes that meant something to the  Egnyters that took time to share it with us.

I’m grateful to work for a company that not only takes pride in celebrating holidays, but also welcomes our various backgrounds and family stories. We take time away from our computers and conference calls to spend extended lunch times like these socializing together. All in all it was a great event with an impressive buffet supplied by our own team.

Happy Thanksgiving from our Egnyte family to yours!
