Egnyte and Synology Deliver the Power of On-Premises and Cloud Storage

New Partners Demo Integrated Business-Class File Sharing and Storage at CES

Mountain View, California – January 7, 2014

Egnyte, the provider of the most comprehensive file-sharing platform for the enterprise, today announced a partnership with network attached storage provider Synology. The new partnership and product integration will provide mid-sized businesses with complete file-sharing and storage capabilities by combining the power of Egnyte with Synology's high performance NAS products. The new technology integration will be demonstrated at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is scheduled for January 7-10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The integration will provide businesses with a single solution that enables secure local, off-line and cloud access to files from anywhere and through any device. Users can create and collaborate on files and then securely sync those files with Egnyte through the cloud to a Synology DiskStation NAS. Growing businesses can deploy Egnyte on multiple Synology DiskStations across numerous offices, enabling the ability to connect them together under one central access point. This helps employees in distributed offices and in the field work seamlessly together as if they'e in the same location. Egnyte also eliminates the need to set up and maintain new infrastructure to provide secure file sharing beyond the firewall.

"We're thrilled to be working with Egnyte for this integration as it provides our customers with an enterprise-grade file-sharing application through our Package Center, combined with the strength of our award-winning storage solutions," said Jason Bonoan, product marketing manager at Synology America Corp. "The ability to share files through the cloud with the combination of Egnyte and our Synology DiskStation NAS allows better network bandwidth and enables options for our customers to easily and securely share their business files both inside and outside of the office."

"We're pleased to launch the integration with Synology to provide the flexibility and storage requirements needed for our mid-sized business customers," said Bart Giordano, senior director of business development at Egnyte. "The cloud is not enough when it comes to sharing and storing business files, and this partnership is a testament to the unique power of our platform to enable the best combination of on-premise and cloud sharing capabilities."

Egnyte will be demoing the new product integration with Synology at CES in booth number 36901 in LVCC, South Hall 4. More information on the integration can be found here. The native integration of Egnyte Storage Sync with Synology DiskStation line of NAS products will be generally available in Q1 2014.
