Introducing Personal Local Cloud, Office Local Cloud and Enterprise Local Cloud - hybrid cloud storage solutions that combine all the conveniences of cloud service with LAN-speed access

A Local Cloud is an always-available local copy of your files on the Egnyte Cloud File Server. The Local Cloud solution provides off-line access to your business files, enables faster editing of large files, and provides a local copy of your files for the fastest access possible. Here is an overview of our Local Cloud solutions:

Local Cloud Solutions

Egnyte has three types of Local Cloud solutions, depending on the needs of your organization:

• Personal Local Cloud - deployed on a user's computer (now a standard feature for Power User accounts)
• Office Local Cloud - deployed on a NAS (Network-attached Storage) device
• Enterprise Local Cloud - deployed on any existing hardware as a VMware®-based Virtual Appliance

Benefits

• Off-line access - Local Cloud provides you with off-line access to your files. If you do not have Internet connectivity, you can directly access the files on the Local Cloud. When the Internet connectivity is restored, the Local Cloud bi-directionally synchronizes with the Egnyte Cloud File Server.
• Edit files faster - Online access can be slow due to bandwidth issues and large file sizes. Local Cloud allows you to access the files locally. This allows fast file edits specially when you are working with large files.
• Work locally, Work globally - You can edit your files on the Local Cloud. When you do not have access to the local cloud, you can access these files via the Cloud File Server. The seamless integration of the Local Cloud and Cloud File Server enables your team to easily access and edit files from anywhere, and also easily share them with business partners.

Personal Local Cloud

Included free in all plans, the Personal Local Cloud solution enables Power Users to maintain local copies of business files on their personal computer hard drives or any directly-attached storage device. This solution is designed for small teams.

Office Local Cloud

The Office Local Cloud solution enables centralized access to files locally (i.e., within one office). It is deployed on Netgear ReadyNAS devices. This solution is ideal for small- to mid-size companies.

Enterprise Local Cloud

The Enterprise Local Cloud solution enables centralized access to files locally (i.e., within one office). Since it is deployed as a virtual machine, it enables you to leverage existing hardware such as servers and storage devices. This solution is designed for mid- to large-size organizations.
