Director, Sales Development (Mountain View, CA - USA)

As our company continues to grow and increasingly focuses on driving new customer acquisition with Mid Market and Enterprise companies, we will look to the Director of Sales Development to design and execute a strategy to drive an increased number, and quality, of opportunities to our growing Field Sales team. This will include continuing to build and mentor a talented team of Sales Development Reps while leveraging 3rd party resources to generate new opportunities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and continue to develop a team of sales development reps to deliver and exceed opportunity targets
  • Execute currently successful processes while developing new tactics to improve efficiency such as supporting reps to develop their geographical sales territories, structuring lead and lag measures, and create daily productivity metrics.
  • Review team performance and employ strategies and tactics to increase output
  • Partner with Sales Operations to optimize the use of sales enablement tools
  • Develop and deliver training programs to help hit key sales objectives by leveraging buying personas, call framing, sales nurturing strategies and cadences.
  • Create and deliver sales kickoff and quarterly reviews including overall strategy of the sales development team and measuring the lead indicators towards to end goals.
  • Design and create a sales playbook and learning guide

Skills - Experience and Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success managing sales development and/or lead generation teams
  • Prior experience in a direct sales or lead generation role
  • Technical Sales experience. SaaS/Cloud experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience creating, implementing and reporting metrics
  • Knowledge of 3rd party lead development resources
  • Strong understanding of sales process an sales pipeline management
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems

  • Become a product expert including the technical workings and practical business application.
  • Keep customers informed of process and procedural changes.

  • Develop success plans for customers that outline critical success factors, metrics for success, potential issues and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with Product Management and Engineering to resolve issues and to communicate customer needs for future product enhancements.
  • Work closely with Field Sales Reps and Sales Engineers to drive adoption of new products.

Skills - Experience and Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience managing customer relationships with demonstrated success managing high profile, high revenue, strategic accounts
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders including C-level and Sales Management
  • Experience working across multiple, internal teams to resolve customer issues quickly and effectively
  • Previous experience with Tech Companies is required. SaaS experience is a strong plus.

Sr. Sales Engineer (Chicago, IL - USA & Dallas, TX - USA)

The Sales Engineer will be the "Liaison” between Sales and Operations by identifying and removing any potential road blocks early on in the sales process while creating detailed specifications agreed upon by both Egnyte and the customer(s).   • Proactively identify and address customer's technical needs and objections to drive sales.
  • Protect Egnyte as an organization from projects in which technical issues outweigh value to Egnyte by being able to delineate between technically feasible and technically problematic opportunities.
  • Assist sales team through preparation and delivery of technical presentations and statements of work by matching specific client business requirements into effective technical solutions, with a focus on the Egnyte’s Products and Services.
  • Maintain high level knowledge of competitive product lines, especially as it relates to technical strengths and weaknesses of the competitor's products and what strategy Egnyte should develop to counter.
  • Maintain high-level knowledge of all other Egnyte products/services, competitive product lines, and industry through self-education and Egnyte’s resources.
