available, as is single sign on, subfolder sync, and a file viewer.
This week, I am speaking at VentureBeat's CloudBeat
conference about why the year of 2012 will the year of "cloud
commuting." As organizations disperse and telecommuting becomes a
permanent reality, hybrid cloud solutions are going to be the only way
to cut costs and control the proliferation of good for the individual /
bad for the company point solutions.

Product Updates
Unified FTP
We
are very excited to announce our new unified FTP solution! Our new
solution integrates FTP as a transfer option, completely removing the
need for a separate FTP server. You now have a simple way to upload and
share large files directly into Shared and Private folders securely (via
FTPS or FTPES).
Administrators can set up and administer users in
Egnyte, utilizing existing permission structures and eliminating the
need for additional FTP server passwords.

Single Sign On
In a further effort to streamline the process for using and maintaining users while preserving security, Egnyte now supports the SAML protocol. You are now able to sign in to your network once and automatically use Egnyte without re-entering passwords.
 We also integrate with OneLogin, giving you a seamless way to access Egnyte, as well as over 1,800 cloud-based business apps.

Subfolder Sync for Personal Local Cloud
After numerous requests from our users we are enabling subfolder
sync on Personal Local Cloud. Previously, users could drill down one
level and select folders to sync. Now, users can drill down
as far as needed to select which folders they want to sync locally on
their computer.

File Viewer (Beta)
You can now view files directly off the web interface without the need to have the supporting application (e.g. MS Word) installed on that computer.
