 Egnyte for the HP Touchpad
Last week HP announced the webOS based Touchpad, and Egnyte was one of four enterprise apps pre-loaded for the tablet demo during the HP Discover 2011 event in Vegas.
With the Touchpad, we are excited to offer Egnyte users another mobile platform to securely access and share their files with others. Egnyte will offer the same functionality and flexibility of our other mobile applications.
Stay tuned to see a demo video and try it our for yourself on July 1 when the Touchpad is available!

New Settings User Interface
By the end of next week, we plan to roll out a change to the "Account Settings" interface. The new interface is simpler and provides easier navigation. We have consolidated all settings to be accessible from the left pane. The user interface has been cleaned up significantly. Also, new settings have been added for integrating with external directory services - LDAP or AD. We believe this will help you more easily manage your account's settings and improve your efficiency.

LDAP / AD Integration
Egnyte integrates with Active Directory (AD) and OpenLDAP directory services for centralized user administration. In this release, we provide Administrators the ability to configure and enable external authentication for their account.

Notes
Earlier, when a past version of a file was deleted, its associated notes were removed altogether. Notes will now be attached to a file instead of to a particular file version.

Search
The search engine has been completely rewritten to significantly improve accuracy and return results more quickly. You are now able to search within a search result as well as within a folder. Not only can you search with a keyword, you can now do so with partial filenames or tags.

Office Local Cloud 6.2
We have worked diligently to enhance the scalability, stability and reliability of our Office Local Cloud client. Deployed on a NETGEAR ReadyNAS, Office Local Cloud provides fast local access and automatic file synchronization to Egnyte Cloud File Server. The upgrade will be available to install on July 1.
iPad
In the upcoming iPad version 3.0 release, you will be able to bookmark shortcuts to folders, create and edit text files.
