Product Improvements
It's been a busy summer for us. We have been working hard to improve and add new
features. Here's a highlight.
Change in Menu Layout
Based on customer feedback and usability studies, we are moving the Actions Menu from the right of the page to the top
(right above your file listing). This layout is similar to what you see when using Windows Explorer or Mac Finder.
Additional enhancements include bread crumbs for folder navigation, consistent navigation for all tabs in the left
navigation pane, fully collapsible left pane and remembering thumbnail view/list view.

Audit Capability
Egnyte now provides a powerful audit capability, allowing account administrators to view every single
file or folder action performed by users on the account. You can generate reports to query actions by folder or
file name by specific users and within any chosen time period. Actions will be classified by type (e.g. file upload,
file download, file delete etc.), and by source (e.g. web, mapped drive, Local Cloud etc).
Reports are downloadable to excel.
By default, Egnyte will store 3 months of audit information for your account.
iPhone App and iPad App
Egnyte apps for iPhone and iPad are now available for free download at the App Store (earlier you could use the
safari browser and access your account from these devices). These new apps offer all the original capabilities to view folders,
files and share files from the phone. In addition, you can now upload files from the phone and also search for files using keywords.
FTP Enhancement
Until now, if a user had uploaded files using FTP, only that user could move these files to respective Shared or Private folders.
Now, the account administrator will have complete access to any user's FTP folder and will
be able to move files from any user's FTP folder.
