 Egnyte Local Cloud Update
We appreciate the interest and inquiries about the Egnyte Local Cloud. Based on the initial feedback and experiences of the first set of customers, we will be launching an updated release this week. For those of you who already have the Egnyte Local Cloud enabled on your account, please login and download the new version.
The first release of the ELC was geared for Windows users. A Mac version will also be launched this week. |

| We have recently added several new features to Egnyte. |

 Improved File Locking
Egnyte already automatically locks files when they are opened from the desktop interface. Now, you can lock files from the web interface as well. Using a new Lock action, files can be locked by users having Read/Write or Read/Write/Delete access to a folder. Locked files cannot be edited or uploaded by other users. Files can either be unlocked by the user who locked them, or by the administrator. A Lock Summary Report, available within the Reports tab, lists all existing locks. |

 Easier Exports of files and folders
The export feature has been enhanced to provide better visibility of the status of your request. Apart from providing information on the size of your file, you can now name and track the status of an export request. Your export file can also be downloaded directly by clicking on the link in the email notification you receive. |

 Java Upload Performance
Based on feedback about slow performance of the Java based Multi file and folder uploader, enhancements have been made to speed up the upload. We have also fixed bugs causing upload errors when using the latest release of the Firefox browser. |
