 Send a LINK to a Folder
Previously, we allowed users to create and email Links to files. We have now extended this capability to entire folders. You can create either a Protected Link, which requires a username and password to access the folder or create a Public Link, which allows the folder to be accessed without any authentication. This feature allows you to share entire folders or even embed the contents of Egnyte folders in other applications and web pages. |

 Enhanced User Invitation Controls
We have provided additional controls around how Standard Users are invited. To date, Power Users could invite Standard Users. Now, administrators can optionally turn off this capability, thereby allowing only the administrator the ability to add any user. Further, we also track who invited a Standard User and provide this information in the Address book. |

 Estimated File Upload Times
The java based multi file uploader now provides estimated time to upload completion. The estimated times are approximate and based on size of your files compared with the available upload speed on your internet connection. Since upload speeds can vary in the span of a large upload, the times indicated are intended to provide a guideline. |

 Enhanced Folder Permissions
Folders now support exclusion rules for managing permissions. You can assign a user to have access to a top level folder and yet exclude them from a sub-folder. This feature should allow more flexible management of permissions across users and groups. |

 Improved Image Quality
Egnyte now displays better quality thumbnail images and improved company logo images. |

 Directory Service API
For customers who run their own directory service (e.g. Open LDAP, ADS), we now provide a set of API's to interface Power User and Standard User information. The API supports functions to create, maintain and deactivate users and groups. In addition, we also support authentication against your directory service, allowing you to maintain all your user passwords within your directory service and simply leverage that when logging into Egnyte. |
